So I have to say that this was not true for my Boox Go 7. I came on board expecting to have to install a bunch of apps, or at least replace what I presumed was going to be a crappy ereader/ui.... But no, the Boox Go 7 BW out of the box just functions as an ereader. There's no installing anything unl

I use a Boox Go 7, but any of the android e-readers could probably work just as well! On mine I use a light weight browser (eink-bro or fennec) for web hosted translations. You can enable Reader Mode at the top of the search bar to trim down the website page so it's just text and no extra webpage el

I just got the same device and I love it! With that said, I understand why people warn about complications: If you're new to e-readers AND android, then this device is not just a unbox and immediately start reading. You have to learn the navigation, android OS, how to get books, how to side load (BO

I was in a similar situation and I went with a Boox Go 7 monochrome. I absolutely love it so far! It does take a bit of tweaking to get the settings right, and I found the UI confusing at first, but it was pretty easy to find the info I needed online.

I ended up with the Boox - mostly because from what I could gather, it’s just more established and more polished i

Are you OK with just downloading and transferring files to it, or do you want to read online as well? Do you care about having a large well-organised library? I have a Boox Go 7, which runs Android (still eink though) and allows downloading apps. Browsing AO3 on a browser works very well (and page t

I have a Boox Palma 2 pro and a Kobo Libra Colour. I was thinking yesterday how I wish I had an ereader that was both combined. So now I’m looking at the Boox go 7 lol. My main thing I love about the Boox is it runs android so I can copy and paste a quote directly into StoryGraph without switching d

Every modern e-reader has access to the internet as such, but the dedicated ones like Kindle or Kobo aren’t particularly convenient for actually browsing the internet. So if you want to read fanfic online, in a browser, as opposed to downloading a finished fic and reading it that way, Android-based
