I sense a new round of Kindle defectors headed our way...

Pretty good if you read on multiple platforms/apps. I have Boox Go 7 (bw) and I use it for libby, everand, and other reading apps. It's really good for manga, too, once I figured out how to maximize the display. Obviously, a dedicated ereader (like the Kobo Clara 2E I have) is more consistent in qua

The Kobo Libra Color was SO close to being the perfect device for me, except for the fact that it only has 32GB of non expandable storage. Any alternatives?

An actual answer! The boox go 7 looks nice!

Do you like your Go 7? (longtime Kindle user considering the Go 7.)

Yes! I replaced my Kindle paperwhite with a Go 7 color. The Go is awesome. Just be aware that it requires customization. And don't buy it from the Onyx Boox website because if you need to return it their service is terrible. I had to return an unopened Go 7 B&W (to exchange for the color model). It

How is it browsing on Kobo compared to Kindle

The Boox go 7, is what you should take a look at. Xteink v4 or v3 are great small devices for a secondary reader.

Kindle Colorsoft or an open-sourced e-reader

Of course you are going to feel like your reading a screen, because you are. If you are talking about the brightness then get a b&w screen, with a color screen you almost always have to have the frontlight on unless you are in a very lit room. Defently get a android ereader to use libby.with somthin

Picking the right E-reader.

Onyx Boox is a solid brand that’s been making Android eInk devices for years. They’re well built and offer a lot of flexibility (especially important for anyone who wants to use their local library or subscription service like Storytel etc, which requires using their own app and doesn’t allow downlo

Kobo libra?

I ended up ordering the Libra Color last night. They're on sale in the US, and the black bezel Boox go 7 is out of stock everywhere. I wanted a device with a black bezel for the contrast. I'm willing to give a color e-ink display a try since I haven't had an ereader in a long time. I have pretty goo

What do I buy now?

Ahh, that clarifies it, thanks. :) Yes, I’ve gathered that with Musnaps, the hardware (iReader hardware) is good but the Musnap firmware they add themselves isn’t the best. They do look like nice devices - I mean, I have an Oasis and a Boox Go 7, so this is the sort of form factor I like (the 7’’ de

Boox vs kobo devices - screen fragility and usage impact

I do the same thing!! I’m afraid to bring my boox go 7 out of the house (even in a full case with a screen protector) bc I’ve finally customized it to my ideal settings and I’d hate to redo everything if it broke. I’m also a little more cautious because the boox screen is flush while the libra 2 is

One of my favorite purchases in a while

Honestly, not a good person to answer this as I don’t read holding it in one hand - I generally have one or both knees up and the book, iPad or e-reader propped up on them, so whether I’m holding it with one hand or both, it’s not an issue. (It’s how I always read physical books and since I’ve alway
