Your existing doorbell wiring doesn't power the Blink doorbell camera in any way whatsoever. I've had batteries that lasted well over 2 years with the 1st gen doorbell and it's been so far, so good with the 2nd gen. And that's with using both with a sync module. It’s the blink mini 2k! We were back and forth between wyze and blink but chose blink bc the one outdoor camera they have we got for our back yard. Definitely not disappointed 😊

i used the blink cameras, the blink mini 2k+ to be exact. worked perfectly for me and is always powered so no need for charging and can watch from anywhere. Or you can use a cinmoore PTZ camera which is also powered but u can pan and tilt 360 degrees but they are slightly larger and might scare the

There are these with an.open back (which presumably use the mount that comes with the camera): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FHP4B1VP Honestly, IMO, you'd be better off with a Blink Mini 2K+ if you're running a power cable to a camera.

You are 💯% Correct.I just order blink mini 2k and the snap-in section by the bar code is not as tight fitting as the other snap-in section of the reset button which is very snug fitting.Blink need to address that issue because if an bird land on it,I think it will fall off.I snap it in on the barcod
