Living out side of the us, a Kindle is not recommend if you want to use your local library it will not work. Kindle and kobo are about the same, they limit you to only one book store. You can side load books on both devices, but it requires a seperate computer and a little knowledge. A android eread

Wanted a kindle since 2015, now looking into them, which e-reader?
I just got me a BigMe B751 for reading manga. I think it's the cheapest option, the screen is really responsive, the contrast is great, and I have been loving it! There's also a B751c that has colors, but I chose the B&W model for better contrast when reading manga. The only downside you might encou

Help me buy my next e-reader
I have the bigme b6 bw and b751c. If you read books I’d recommend a black and white e reader over colour. I can confirm borrow box works on both and I use it a bit (had to adjust the dpi setting on the b751c to get it working properly because page turn was slightly off but it’s super simple and litt

need help finding a ereader
There are two that come to mind the boox go 7 b&w and the bigme b751 b&w, in color there more options boox go 7 color, b751c, b751cs. B7, b7 pro, musnap ocean c. Boox go 7 is the best if pdf files and notes are something you use frequently. If your main focus is epubs any other others are fine.

Recommendations for newspaper reading?
I have bigme devices - in uk in December and Jan they were cheaper than boox. It’s seems pretty good for reading the guardian. Gotta fiddle with e ink settings for your preference but I didn’t find hard to set up for parents. I gave (and share) the b751c and I use the b6 bw - personally I prefer mon

I'm annoying myself as I can't decide on the right device for me.
I was in the same boat. Price wise I got the bigme b751c (over boox which was £70 more expensive). I do like this product. BUT I use it to read. I haven’t opened a comic or magazine. There is some grainy texture - which is the case for all coloured e ink devices. This is my first and only e reader.

Influence or deinfluence me on the Kobo Libra Colour
I got an android based one. I got a slightly older model b751c. It’s a good device (I got it before Xmas). But if you are gonna read from it and continue reading things like comics in your iPad I’d consider a black and white screen e reader colour e ink screens are good but not as good as black and

Ereader for reading in a browser
For reading in a browser, a fast screen is essential, and there’s nothing that can beat Bigme in that regard. And regarding the fragile screen: they’re all made of thin, breakable glass that can’t withstand bending or significant pressure; being careful is the best protection—a screen protector won’
