Living out side of the us, a Kindle is not recommend if you want to use your local library it will not work. Kindle and kobo are about the same, they limit you to only one book store. You can side load books on both devices, but it requires a seperate computer and a little knowledge. A android eread

jailbroken kindle vs other e readers in the market

I have the bigme b751c, and I don’t regret staying away from Amazon. But if you still want it as an option it is on there (I have purchased a few books on their) As big me is android based I can download most apps. I have the apps for: kobo, Libby, borrow box, google books on there and I’m sure you

What do you not like about e-readers?

An Android e-reader should run the same app no problem, or am I missing something here? And they have gotten pretty snappy, even on the lower end. I bought myself a Bigme B751 for like $200. It runs Android and is really responsive. I use it mostly for reading manga. You could even get the B751c whi

Wanted a kindle since 2015, now looking into them, which e-reader?

I just got me a BigMe B751 for reading manga. I think it's the cheapest option, the screen is really responsive, the contrast is great, and I have been loving it! There's also a B751c that has colors, but I chose the B&W model for better contrast when reading manga. The only downside you might encou

Thoughts on the Meebook M8?

The bigme brand is probably better than the mebook and boox is probably the best brand but more expensive While I like the color for color things, when it actually comes to reading a book, you can't beat the b&w. In a well lit room or outside the color is great, it's when you have to use the frontli

Help me buy my next e-reader

I have the bigme b6 bw and b751c. If you read books I’d recommend a black and white e reader over colour. I can confirm borrow box works on both and I use it a bit (had to adjust the dpi setting on the b751c to get it working properly because page turn was slightly off but it’s super simple and litt

need help finding a ereader

There are two that come to mind the boox go 7 b&w and the bigme b751 b&w, in color there more options boox go 7 color, b751c, b751cs. B7, b7 pro, musnap ocean c. Boox go 7 is the best if pdf files and notes are something you use frequently. If your main focus is epubs any other others are fine.

Bigme 751c is it worth it at $180

Color display quality is much worse, you'll notice it a lot if you're reading BW material (but there are ways to manage that on color devices, it's not completely terrible). If price is the main factor, there are comparable deals on ebay for the Boox Page, Go 6, and Go 7 BW. I'd also check the used

Bigme 10.3 B1051C-PRO. On paper, seems like a dream. Can't find a review.

I've tried a couple Bigme devices--the B751-C 7" and the S6 7.8". They were good devices, but I returned both due to issues like random rebooting. The price on the device you posted is a little high for what you are getting, IMO. I have a Note Air 4C and it checks the box on pretty much every featur

What’s your favorite e-Reader and why?

For outdoor use - Bigme B751 - and for indoor use - B751C: They have the best refresh rate and behavior of any E-ink device I know - and there are many (Boox, Kindle, Kobo, Likebook, Pocketbook, etc.)
