What is so bad about Boox ereaders?
My experiences with Boox: Poke 4s: it's a 2nd hand. I had it returned (to the shop that sold it as a trade in for the next Boox) because the battery is simply too bad. Last maybe 2 days max. I wish 6 inch ereaders were more popular!
After using the Bigme B6 I know my ideal reader is 6" black and white, recessed screen, with full android play store enabled. Holding out for something new that meets those needs.

Boox Go 6 Review in 2026
The bigme b6 black and white uses a carta 1300. And I disagree with your point about speed. I've used a boox 6 and all I do is read ebooks and its painfully slow. Android 14 might not be an advantage quite yet, but give it a year or two and I guarantee it will be over an Android 11 device. Bigme has

Bigme B7 Color - Excellent way to cut down social media use and spend your free time
Had the Bigme B6, and aside from being slow, the Android version on it was so ancient I couldn't install a lot of apps (and it didn't let me install the Play Store either, so no Kindle or Play Books). Which version of Android does this one come with?
