Not exactly, but close. DT990 are more open than that. Instead of the plastic back, they have slightly thicker felt there, making them one of the more open ones, and people can hear it, often crowning them the most open sounding Beyerdynmic even though they have about as much highs as the 1990, so t

I’m new to the IEM community but what I’m finding out is that ear tips can have a big impact on things like bass and treble. I just got my astrals two days ago and use them primarily for gaming. The stock tips aren’t great and have been hurting my ears so I ordered some final audio type e tips to se

I have DT900 Pro X and DT1770MK2. Having owned many headphones over the years, I can say without a doubt this is not normal for any headphone period.

Yeah and closed back versus open back are different. I was going to buy the dt900 pro x for mixing but read about the hinges problem. So I went with Sennheiser hd560s

the DT900 is not really meant for gaming. It’s more meant for professional music use. Beyer’s MMX 330(Open Back) or MMX 300(Closed back) would be way better for gaming.

Same. I have a pair of DT900 Pro X as well but I prefer the 700.

Not sure about the DT1990s. I’ve used the DT 700 pro x and the dt900 pro x with sonar works and neither were very good. I have sennheiser had 650s that I use with sonar works and they are way better.. that’s the headphone sonar works themselves recommend.

Get Beyerdynamic labs which is free, to EQ your headphones. This tames a lot of the highest peaks in the 1Khz+ region that the 990 has. Windows volume tells you nothing. I have permanent tinnitus which flares up if I'm not careful. Headphones are fucking dangerous, even if you watch your levels and

Search around. I was going to buy the dt900 pro x until I started to see posts about the hinges cracking over time. I bought Sennheiser hd560s because they're were on massive discount. I also like how I can attach a mic to be it so I can use for my Xbox.
