I have two pairs of 80ohm DT770 pro's. One is about 20 years old, the other about 3. Neither are what I would call bass heavy at all. I don't use them for listening to music because they lack bass.

Headphones for producing without amplifier. Possible?

You should go with the 32ohm, that way you can drive it from any aux port. Based on measurements I have seen, the DT 770 32 ohm does not sound the same as the 80 and 250 ohm. DT 770 pro x amp question

Unless you need that rugged of a build, you should return the DT 770 ProX and get a pair of FiiO FT1 headphones. The FT1 headphones are very efficient, have great audiophile quality sound, and should represent the improve sound overall solution that you really need. Or step up to the vastly improved
