First Time Pool Owner Rain Advice
Is it a vinyl pool? Side note, ask Santa for a Betta SE Plus skimmer especially if you constantly battle tree debris in your pool. It is the single best purchase I made for my pool.

One pool robot or separate cleaners?
This. A solar skimmer runs 24/7. An "all in one" drains the battery while only skimming for an hour or two. It's also cheaper to buy them separately. Beatbot Sora 10 + iSkim (or Betta SE Plus). Or Aquasense 2 if you want some bells and whistles (but smaller basket).

Need a Pool skimmer/wier door that isnt junk.
If money is no object: https://bettabot.com/products/betta-se-plus Throw the door out, add a hair net to the basket, turn skimmer flow down some.
