Ok. I have the BeQuiet Straight Power 12. Could be a power supply issue, but I've seen good reviews with this power supply, so I want to rule out that it's not a fan issue before I move on to the PSU.

Which PSU are you using? The LAN issue was isolated to a be quiet Dark Power Pro 13 1600W. It does not happen with a Straight Power 12 850W. It also does not happen with a Corsair HX1500. I have bought a second mainboard for testing, and the exact same symptoms occur on both boards.
