Grinder Suggestion

The Virtuoso+ will probably be the only grinder to last as long as your MM. They are ugly and built like tanks, but you can basically rebuild the entire machine, ship of Theseus style, using parts from the Baratza site. The Ode2 is pretty though…

Can’t decide between fellow ode 2 and Barratza Encore

I was in the same shoes as you several years ago. I have the moccamaster, and I bought a Baratza Virtuoso+ - it's been great for darker-roast type coffees, which was what I focused on back then. Baratza customer care is terrific. I then got into espresso, and bought the Encore ESP with single-dose h

Baratza Encore ESP Pro vs Turin DF54 V2/V3 [$250-$300]

I've had a Baratza Virtuoso+ for 6 years for pourover/Aeropress, and it has been great. I saw the ESP Pro and figured that was the logical replacement, but I've seen so many negative comments about the ESP Pro here from owners who find it has a lot of issues. I know this is just reddit, but still, i

Budget burr grinder recommendations for drip and French press?

I would go with Baratza over OXO. Baratza products are repairable, the company encourages customers to repair and they sell parts. Their products are also very well made. I’ve had my Virtuoso+ for many years. OXO does have good support but I find they’re more like “throw it away, we’ll send a new on

Grinder Stuck and Useless after 1.5 years [DF54]

I have a Baratza Virtuoso+. I got it July of 2020 after Covid lockdown forced me home to make my own. Still going strong, my daily grinder.

Which Grinder

I have the ESP Virtuoso + It’s 12 ish years old. When it stoped grinding I sent it back to Baratza and for something like 60$ they nearly completely rebuilt it. From expresso grind to French press thing is a joy to use!!

Too Bitter

A good cleaning might help. If you’re in the mood to get something that will last you forever, check out the Baratza Encore or Virtuoso+ on sale on Amazon right now.

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread

Current setup is a Pearl for scale, Fellow kettle, Blue Bottle drip and filters, and Virtuoso+ grinder. I can do really nice pour over, but my Bambino Plus is pretty inconsistent with espresso. It’s not bad, but I want to upgrade this winter. I saw that the Vario+ was upgraded somewhat recently, and
