[USA - TJ Maxx] Breville Bambino Plus for 80$
Well you saved a ton of money so don’t skimp on a good grinder. It all depends how deep in the rabbit hole you want to go. I have this same machine with Baratza Encore ESP and am happy with it. I use the grinder for everything from espresso to pour over. If you can afford a $5-600 grinder, do you. T

Just realized I spent $1,089 at Starbucks 👀💀
Honestly even a solid drip brew machine, Baratza Encore Grinder and some good beans goes a long way too. Less fancy drinks but still.

Any electric grinder below 15O USD other than Baratza Encore? Not for espresso, only AeroPress. No, I am not looking for hand grinder.
Honestly? Baratza encore is easily your best choice that’s not a hand grinder

My mom wants an espresso machine for her birthday, what’s a good beginner setup for complete newbies? [$300]
I would recommend the v Breville Bambino as well, I have this machine for the past two years it's great. I would absolutely not agree with the smart grinder. The Breville Bambino cannot extract light beans... If this matters to your mom get a machine that works with that. The Bambino excels in mediu

Coffee grinders
Baratza Encore is a very good grinder. Not too expensive, very sturdy and reliable, consistent grind over a broad range of settings.

How much Grinder actually matters?
Depends, Starbucks is a low bar so I beat that quality using a Baratza Encore ESP. It struggled dialing in light roasts so I recently upgraded to a DF64, swapped in SSP HU burrs and properly aligned them. Now I can compete with many $1500+ grinders. The espresso machine is less important as they’re

Thoughts on the Baratza Encounter esp Pro? Is it worth it? [$300]
The Encore ESP Pro is a nice enhanced version of the Encore ESP. Note: the flavor profile is the same--the ESP Pro uses the same burrs as the ESP, and one should expect the same flavor between the 2 grinders, as a general matter. The biggest value is the ESP Pro's 2.2-micron display grind steps, as

Wanting to upgrade my budget grinder
Good range to be looking at. The Baratza Encore is a solid workhorse but worth knowing it is primarily designed for filter coffee rather than espresso, the stepped adjustment and grind range does not give you the fine control espresso really needs for dialling in. If espresso is your main brew metho

If you were considering a portable espresso machine and grinder, I recommend the Ikape Kapo K2 and Outin Fino
You're welcome! My sole reason for getting a portable espresso machine was to eliminate the need to carry a portable kettle. It was just one less thing to drag along with Aeropress Go. I really wasn't expecting much when I got the Ikape, and certainly didn't expect to get such a rave review from my
