Wife wants me to throw out the K1max and buy a Bambu. I'm out of ideas, please help me

Honestly, with how much you've tried already... Ditch that printer. I'm not saying it's a bad machine in general, But honestly i think your unit is just kind of fucked at this point.Could you fix it? Probably. Is it going to be worth the extra cost in replacements and the countless hours tinkering?

Please Recommend an FDM Printer

Bambu Lab A1 is currently $299 with free shipping. It handles one roll at a time. I have over 2500 hours of mostly terrain printing on mine, and I've only had one major issue (which simply involved cleaning the hot end) and it was my own fault. it has auto levelling, flow calibration, and a robust r

What’s shaper than a saw? A 3D printer’s plate.

Turn on the build plate detection. its gonna check at every start (maybe an extra 2-3s max) but if its not in their proper place its not gonna start the print and alert you.https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1-mini/manual/build-plate-detection For my mini, even if its misaligned just 1-2mm its wont start

Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling

I almost hate to admit it -- I believe in open source and work in the software industry so am intimately familiar with all of these behaviors -- but I'm here too. In fact, the walled garden approach is the entire reason I finally got into printing after all these years. I'm interested in the prints,

Type of Printer to Buy?

I believe tha BambuLab A1 or the A1 mini is one the most reliable and better cost / benefit at the moment. They are “cheap” and very capable or printing high quality minis. (Just browse around on this sub). There is a ton of support and good sources for a good reason.

Gridfinity base result with 0.8 nozzle

0,4 mm = 0,126 mm²0,8 mm = 0,503 mm²ludicrous speed = 166 % So if you want to print at that speed, you need to increase the volumetric flow by a factor 6,6x Assuming good old regular PLA on the A1 has 21 mm³/s flow rate with the standard hotend - to make this happen, you would need 138,6 mm³/s to fu

H2S vs P2S — Is H2S worth it for print quality, if I don’t need the size?

Hey, welcome to the hobby 😄 After several thousand print hours across different Bambu Lab printers, here’s my honest take: Print quality is identical across all of them. You’re not going to see smoother surfaces or better detail between models — it’s the same core tech. The only real difference (esp
