Update on my headphones comment from yesterday, I ordered the Audio-Technica ATH-R50x. Less than 200 bucks so not that expensive all things considered. I've never used open back headphones before but they probably suit my needs better since I prioritize comfort and don't care much for noise cancelat

HD 480 Pro

Oh yes, I am newer to the hobby but I have compared back and forth my couple of inexpensive open backs with the momentum 4, a couple of earbuds and IEMS I understand we shouldn’t compare passive to active headphones, but when talking specifically about what sounds better, that shouldn’t matter. Headphones for practice that translate to live use

My suggestion would be to set your tones with your live setup at live db levels. Then, to practice, plug in whatever studio headphones your budget will allowed without changing anything even if it sounds "worse" to you. Just tell yourself its practice time and not tweaking time ;). I go with beyerdy

Steelseries arctis pro+gamdac

Proper headphone such as Audio Technica ATH-R50X or Sennheiser HD560s is miles better. But cod has shitty audio design, good headphones can't fix that

Momentum 4 good all-in-one headphones?

Yes, that's my choice for all-in-one. But you will need BTD700 for gaming. Not BTD600, only BTD700 as it has low latency mode. Also, you can't use the mic when gaming. For pure gaming, wired will be better, such as HD599 or Audio Technica ATH-R50X

Battlefield 6 has officially been nominated at The Game Awards 2025, and it’s competing in three massive categories this year.

Streamers use gaming headsets because they have sponsorships, same as LAN championships. Also, the mic attached is handy. When pro players stream from home they usually use Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X which is a studio headphone with good imaging and better than any gaming headset at any price. It's no

Headphone players: got any headphone recommendations?

I use ATH-R50X open back headphones by Audio Technica and they are really nice, they cost about $150 and sound pretty amazing. They are 50 ohms and sound great on my interface SSL 2+ mkii. sweetwater.com/store/detail/ATHR50x--audio-technica-ath-r50x-open-back-reference-headphones
