How Hard Can It Be?
if you haven't used a headset that 500g+ it might feel odd Most if not all good headphones weigh over 500 grams, so why would this be a problem? the Audeze MM-500 is over 500 grams for example but yet you don't hear people complaining about weight.

Advice on upgrading - Audeze LCDX & Apogee Symphony
I’ve been reading Audeze MM-500 are lighter than the LCD-x and very comparable sound wise but with more mid range emphasis. Costs a bit more though.
