LCD-2C or LCD-GX for music AND gaming?
I own a pair of LCD-GXes that I've been using for 3 years now(down to the month). My experience with sound quality, is that both the drivers and microphone have been great.I'm a bit of a philistine when it comes to certain aspects of audio, but the clarity, detail, and soundstage for everything from

ANC Maxwell 2 confirmed by GadgetryTech
Probably because it's the best budget headset for sound already. If you want better, Audeze provide that with the Audeze LCD-GX which is kinda like a LCD-2 with a mic.

Another one joined the club
The mic is so flimsy that you constantly have to adjust it, and it keeps disconnecting from the Xbox Series X. The sound is also really low. even with the firmware update. should of learn my lesson on Audeze Penrose. they make good headphones but there maxwells aren't for me either. all just stick t

Sound compared to cable versions
There will always be a drop in quality with any wireless technology. Like comparing the Audeze Maxwell with the Audeze LCD-GX is a night and day difference in audio quality. It's really down to you if you consider the convenience more important than sound quality. Still, the Maxwell is still better

Maxwell appreciation
Great post. I have two Maxwells. One for Xbox and one for PS5. Both work of course on PC. Also have the Penrose which I still use all the time. Absolutely the best “Sounding” headset on the market. The Penrose and Maxwells were a stepping stone also for me. I have delved heavily into gaming audio an

Are maxwells worth buying? in 2025
I tested the Astro a50X, the turtle beach stealth pro, the steel series nova pro wireless, and then the Maxwell. The Maxwell beats them all. Better sound and more comfortable. The Astros are functionally an open back and have hardly any sub bass. They also have no noise isolation. If you aren’t in a

Nova Elites are they worth it?
My brother in audio... Absolutely not. They're really pretty for a gaming headset, and you can flex on peasant gamers, but $600 for a pair of Steelseries is insane. For $600, you could build a wired home setup that will sound literally ten times better, and still have enough left over for a decent w

I want to buy Maxwell for PS5 Need some feedback from past users.
I'm a bit of a headphones nerd and have a bunch of different ones. I have a couple of Maxwells that I've used with PC, Xbox and PS5 over the years. The sound quality is excellent and they will serve you well, but it is important to know they are pretty big and heavy. Some people have them unfortable
