Angry rant about why the Maxwell has the best audio but is unusable
Never had a single one of these issues in the 2 years I've owned them. Incredible budget headphones and I wear them 5 hours a day, no issue. Hilarious you thinking they're expensive. They're not. These are extremely budget for Audeze. Also, not even the best gaming headphones from Audeze. That would

If you had unlimited money and were tasked to buy the best PC gaming headset, what would you get?
The Audeze LCD-GX is currently the best gaming headset you can get, at least as far as I'm aware. A great and much more budget friendly option is Beyerdynamic MMX-300 Pro.

Maxwell appreciation
Great post. I have two Maxwells. One for Xbox and one for PS5. Both work of course on PC. Also have the Penrose which I still use all the time. Absolutely the best “Sounding” headset on the market. The Penrose and Maxwells were a stepping stone also for me. I have delved heavily into gaming audio an

Seems like youre the only one. May i ask what type of godlike audio system are you using? Im using Audeze LCD-GX which is pretty high end and no problem in other games

LCD-GX worth it? Or wait
I use my LCD-2C with a Creative Labs SoundBlaster X5 DAC. The LCD-2C is great for gaming, it does exceptionally well with positional audio. And of course sounds amazing in general. I would think the GX would be virtually identical in performance, it just comes with the in line microphone. If you can

Hows the Audeze Maxwell for gaming?
It's what they're designed for and they're the second best gaming headphones on the market. Best being Audeze LCD-GX

Maxwell 2 is one of the most hype-killing release I've ever experienced
I think your right for wireless but I do prefer wired options. I prefer the Audeze LCD-GX if we consider pure 'gaming headsets' and there are a lot of other wired sets you can add a mic to.

The 6xx's I use almost exclusively everyday. I have plenty of options but I will always use the sennheisers because they are e

Maxwell vs LCD
I have the LCD-GX; my understanding is that it's one of the few Audeze headphones that doesn't need EQ to sound normal. I add a little bass shelf but otherwise that's it. They are great for games and music and relatively easy to drive. Plus they're lighter than the other LCD headphones.

Maxwell vs LCD
I have an LCD-GX hooked up to a PC via an Audeze Deckard Amp/DAC and they are very good for gaming and excellent for music. But you also have to deal with them being wired. If I place my phone near the cable it can create some buzz. I prefer a closed back like the Maxwell or Maxwell 2 for gaming, bu
