There will always be a drop in quality with any wireless technology. Like comparing the Audeze Maxwell with the Audeze LCD-GX is a night and day difference in audio quality. It's really down to you if you consider the convenience more important than sound quality. Still, the Maxwell is still better

I think your right for wireless but I do prefer wired options. I prefer the Audeze LCD-GX if we consider pure 'gaming headsets' and there are a lot of other wired sets you can add a mic to.

I forgot about the LCD-GX, that’s also another option I could go for! I’m mainly a single player guy, so I’d be pleased if the sound quality is great. I’m currently using a set of Audeze Maxwells that I do like, but I’d enjoy a DAC and wired more for the quality.
