It's the ASUS router. I had the same issue when I had my XT8 mesh routers. It would work like shit. When I changed to an enterprise solution, even if it was slower, it just worked flawlessly. Asus routers just do some bullshit.

I had a similar problem and it took me a couple days to finally get it resolved after extensive troubleshooting. It turns out it was due to a firmware update on my router.
