Surface Laptop 7 13.8 - worth it?
Context: Used to have a MacBook Air M4, sold it because I didn't like MacOS much. Cross-shopped an Asus Zenbook A14 and Surface Laptop 7 afterwards and bought a 13.8" Surface Laptop 7 with the X-Elite. Premium build quality The MacBook Air has the best build quality out of the 3, the Surface Laptop

Why doesn't Apple have any normal competitors in the laptop space?
'Performance Per Watt' is Apple's marketing claim. It does that because it's all it's got. In reality, an Apple ultraportable with a large battery can hit about 30 hours of battery thanks to the harmony of software and hardware. I'm not sure where you got x86 is dying from.
