Charging issue aghh~~
A bunch and bunch of issues. You can have a quick look in r/asus and read all the horror stories you want. To cite a few : cooling on older models (I don’t know if it’s still the case but 2023 zenbooks and vivobooks and tufs had that) may just stop working and turn the laptop into an overheating doo

Thinking about buying an ASUS Vivobook 15 - worth it?
Honestly, I would not. I currently have a vivobook 15, and I've had it maybe two years. The battery life is absolutely awful. Fully charged, it says I should get about 5 hours, but I'm lucky if I get one and a half-two, and that's just with internet browsing and document work, so nothing strenuous.

which windows laptop should i buy for my engineering college?
I don't know why people going for windows laptop at such high budgets. When I was in college during my JEE prep (mid 2019) i brought Asus Vivobook S430 FA (8GB, i5-8gen, no graphics card, 256GB SSD+1TB HDD) it was for 36k. And I did my whole college with it.
