Nice first look with Digital Foundry. Always believed Lunar Lake was a sidegrade to the HX370/Z2E (890M), but this seems like a real upgrade. (Also didn't realize Intel themselves were the ones giving the power measurement tool to media outlets, very cool). Important to note, these tests are done at

I have this exact laptop. I upgraded to 32GB of ram and can confirm 16GB is holding this laptop back a bit. I recommend the G.Skill ripjaws cl34 4800Mhz 2x16 kit. You should nuke AC and install ghelper, its less bloated, more powerful and simple. Less Asus services = more performance. You can set cp

The Tuf A14 also decidedly is limited to 32GB and no 16 core cpu. They specifically used the 8 core and 12 core cpu paired with 8060S. That tells you they wanted to cut as much non-gaming components as possible to make it more cost effective for gaming. Not having high ram kills the main and really

TLDR; Minimalize (is that a word?), sell desktop, keep laptop, finish up school, and then go back to what you are most comfortable with afterwards! Bro the 4070 mobile GPU is more than capable at handling any type of gaming at high graphics 60+ fps (and 60 is putting it low, you definitely can run m

When you factor portability, a gaming laptop is better. You get a mini-pc but still have to get a monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc… when the laptop has it all built-in. Recently got an Asus TUF A14 2024 and couldn’t be happier, and doesn’t get as hot as I thought it would.

I am pretty sure GPU does not matter that much for Minecraft mods, focus on a better CPU, something this computer does not really offer. It is also incredibly overpriced. See if this ships to you, I think it is perfect for under 1100 USD Amazon.com ASUS TUF Gaming A14 (2024) Alternatively this also

D3DMetal + MSync Then a few console parameters (-nojoy, -novid, fps_max 0, -high etc.) 1600x900, balanced FSR, Mostly medium because it runs better than low(!) 55-75 based on scenario but it will NEVER FEEL fluid, it is jittery, frame time is all over the place and the experience is not the best whi

Man, it doesn't work like that. What kind of performance do you need? Gpu or cpu intensive? Only gaming or multitasking? At what price range? Mac or windows? What size? What do you need it for? If you only need performance at a good price get a pc instead. Just an example, i have an asus tuf A14 whi
