NBN upgrade has made me find out how many bad cables I have

I'm loving my Wifi6 Asus RT-AX86U. The signal is strong across the entire house (where I used to need multiple access points) and I can use all the bandwidth of my new 500/50 plan almost everywhere.

Greenlight!

When I got Greenlight four years ago you had to buy your own router. I bought a Asus RT-AX86U and nearly choked on the price, But it has been worth the money. It has been very reliable, can handle the speed, has great WiFi range and has lots of really useful features that cheaper routers don’t have.

Can an average Joe set up a wifi mesh network?

Hey Joe exactly where I bought my AX86U and later put it on node to another Asus router also on sale at Cosco. At opposite ends of house on different levels. Wireless backhaul. Extended wifi to detached garage. Working just fine.

Which Asus router ASUS RT-BE92U OR ASUS RT-BE88U?

I have been using a RT-AX86U Pro for a few years and have been very happy with its performance. I use their AiMesh on 2 nodes with wired backhaul. This combo gives me nice WIFI coverage on 3 floors. You cannot go wrong with ASUS.

Good Wi-Fi Router in 2026. Any recommendation?

I have an Asus RT AX86U Pro that works great as well. I have a two story 4 bedroom house with a basement. The router is in the basement. I get coverage everywhere. Upstairs in the main bedroom I get 495Mb on my iPad. I have 500Mb service.

What are some good WiFi 6 routers at the moment?

Love my Asus RT-AX86U Pro. I have a 2 story house with a basement and the router is in the basement. I get full coverage everywhere. Has never been an issue whatsoever. Check out the reviews.

Finally got own router installed and ditched Hub Pro

A lot of youfibre customers could do themselves a massive favour by simply ditching the supplied router, as they are barely adequate. Middling performance. I have two ASUS RT-AX86U Pro, for full house coverage, and they perform flawlessly.

Good home router's with long term security support?

I have had the ASUS 86U routers for more than a decade. I’d still be using the first one if it wasn’t for lightning. The replacement router an RT-AX86U Pro has been in operation for a couple of years now and I use Asuswrt-Merlin firmware rather than ASUS. Asuswrt-Merlin updates firmware components m

Time for new router

If you want to stay with ASUS, some good upgrade options to WiFi 6 include ASUS RT-AX86U Pro (if available in your region, otherwise just AX86U), or ASUS RT-AX58U (RT-AX3000) for a lower cost option. For WiFi 7: If you don't need the 6ghz band of WiFi 7 then ASUS RT-BE58U is a good entry level route

How to extend wifi signal from ground floor to 2nd floor without loosing much speed

This is the exact same setup as my house. I have an Asus RT-AX86U Pro in my basement. It’s a 4 Bedroom Colonial. I have whole house WiFi with it. In one of the 2d floor Bedrooms I get 450 Mbps on my IPad Pro. I have 500 service. And the previous Asus AC model router although not as strong, worked fi
