Looking for a new router supporting DD-WRT.
I decided to go with ASUS RT-AX1800S instead. Turns out this router is rock solid with stock firmware and provides all the features I need. It has up to 3 separate guest networks, one of which I set up as IOT. It also allows me to use a custon DNS server (I use Pihole for DNS) and it is super good a

Looking for router alternatives after TP-Link concerns
asus is usually solid. had the rt-ax1800s for a while, no issues. firmware updates keep it secure. worth a shot if you're switching from tp-link.

What router would you recommend for my situation?
It definitely is not IMO. Mikrotik is a lot of fun and you get a ton of hardware for the price, but it's like being dropped in a foreign land without knowing the language and it doesn't act like any other common router interface, even with regards to verbiage, so online guides will be more scarce. Routers

UK DSL Router / Wifi 6 Needed?
Even FTTC should be getting you better available speeds than what you got. It's hard to imagine they're running DSL from the fiber on the curb to your home. You should get a decent router regardless of your Internet speed, for a few reasons. First, longer term firmware support. Buying a NEW WiFi 5 r

Router decision
I have about the same size house. I had a lapse in coverage downstairs so I put an ASUS RT-AX3000 upstairs which connected to my modem in the office, then I also have an ASUS RT-AX1800 downstairs in mesh mode to provide coverage for devices downstairs. I configured it to assign devices based on whic
