I've been using an OLED for months and never turned it off like totally power off. It goes into sleep mode which basically turns off the LED so yeah, safe. No burns on my end. Using PG27UCDM

For the most part, OLEDs knock IPS out of the water. Better motion and overall picture quality. The only reason you'd go for IPS is if you want a brighter screen or you're worried about the risk of burn-in with OLEDs. That said, the ASUS PG27UCDM if you want an OLED or the Acer XV275K if you want an

I have two setups at home. One for work (KTC M27P6 and MSI 274updfe16m) and one for gaming/personal stuff (oled/Asus Pg27ucdm). Colors across all three is excellent. HDR is excellent. Black levels are excellent too but perfect on the PG27UCDM. In mostly black or dim situations the minileds can have

If text clarity is your top priority, I would invest in a 4K IPS panel. I code a lot everyday and I'll take my 4K IPS over my 4K OLED each time. Plus the text clarity is top notch on IPS for me at least. Also you don't need to worry as much about burn-in or image retention. Lastly, if purchasing the

I've had my PG27UCDM for a week so I'll share my experience so far. It's my first OLED and first 4K monitor and I definitely recommend it. Personally I'm not concerned about burn in, I've been getting new monitors every three years or so already anyway. If I experience burn in I'm buying another OLE

Overall the are excellent monitors and the best overall gaming monitors available. However, they aren't perfect. The strengths is superb contrast, highly accurate colors, and very clear motion all in one package. In addition there per pixel dimming makes a rather good HDR experience. Their weaknesse

The early Alienware models had issues where the monitors would just randomly fail. Hence the lower prices. Dell claims they fixed itin the AO2 revision, but all we have is their word. If you want the 27" OLED I would recommend the MSI 272URX or the Asus PG27UCDM. That panel is widely regarded as the
