Asus ProArt PX13 500 nits outdoors. There it's my limitation, I use the laptop in sunlight many times and I can't find a replacement of macbooks for the life of me. It's basically coding. I need ram, battery life and good screen. Everything else is tolerable.

Asus stopped x13 flow manufacturing in 2023, however they did launch the PX13 pro art. I had 2 of the earlier models 5900hs + 1650 then 6900 hs + 3050. It’s a super compact platform but has teething issues. Get more ram since the ram is soldered on. Potential storage upgrades are limited to the m2 2

Is it comparing with the MacBook Pro though? Asus’ “real” MacBook Pro competition is the ProArt P16. Comes with a higher resolution Tandem OLED display, more ports, better speakers, better cooling, a more sturdy build, a bigger battery and way more performance. Not to mention a price tag to match.
