MacBook Pro for Linux Users - we might have an answer

I have a macbook pro as well as some linux machines. I don’t think the framework really compares. The modularity—while nice—doesn’t feel as sleek. Most of what you listed is now relatively common. The closest I’ve had to an MBP as far as feel goes is a Lonovo Yoga. But I ended up with an Asus ProArt

Worst Laptop Experience Ever

Reinstall Windows, the stock one is pure hot garbage and do not install all the ASUS crap (other than MyASUS for updates). For wifi card yeah... Switching to Intel made all the difference. Was unable to reliably game whatsoever on MediaTek. I agree it is definitely not the best experience, I also ha

Teaser shows 2026 px13

There's always a newer version of almost anything. The PX13 represents an "alone in its class" mobile workstation when you factor in it's a 2-in-1. I know many bought it for gaming which wasn't its primary design purpose. So for creators, I think it represents a good 3-year life before upgrade has a

Brand new... glad I didn't buy.

It’s crazy to me the difference in experiences people have. I joined 3 months ago and I’m using a Asus ProArt PX13 (4060 8gb, 32gb RAM) and I have not experienced one system issue or significant in game bug, and I usually play 2-3hrs a day.

Anyone else have terrible battery life?

You should get G-helper. Default power profiles (and fan curves) are terrible out of the box. Once you've downloaded it, edit silent profile. Here you should try and see a bit what works for you, but for light work somewhere in 7-8w with boosts a couple of watts higher makes the laptop still run smo

Best laptop for Lightroom

There is no "best laptop", but you do want one with a decent graphics card so it runs well. Look for 32gb ram + dedicated graphics card. You are most likely set then. Asus has a creator series called PX13 or PX16 which includes this wheel on the touchpad for efficient lightroom control that I find v

PX13 vs ROG Flow Z13 for drawing

This is a great point that deserves a new thread. The new Asus pen 3 is a sneak new release that comes with the new px13. I own a 2025 z13 coming from a surface pro 8 and I absolutely love my new device as so far it's everything I ever wanted out of my surface, sacrificing only a few millimeters of

My user Experiance and Questions

Try enabling "Enable GPU on shutdown" in G-helper, that might help with some switching issues. Similar experience regarding battery (owned since release), it's decent but mines around 80-85% too and that'll definitely affect the total run time. Unfortunately I haven't found any way to buy a genuine

MacBook of the Linux World

You could have a lookat the Asus PX13. Really good buildquality, looks beautifu and has impressive hardware. Linux support was ok in the beginning, but with the latest kernel updates everything works out of the box (I'm using NixOS) I'm really happy with it for over one year now.

Long term users of Surface running Snapdragon processors, how are things going?

Amazing. The best PC I've ever owned. I recently bought an ASUS ProArt PX13 with the Ryzen AI Max chip, as well as the SP11 with Intel. Ended up returning them both to stick with the snapdragon. I was surprised by how much the PX13 didn't feel faster for most things. It just feels the snappiest on b
