Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]

Another Ascaso Steel Duo PID owner here, and another glowing review. Been a dream since day one, couldn’t be happier. Makes great coffee, very stable on back to back shots, quality of the machine feels nice and the tank is brilliant for refilling. All that, PLUS a few minutes heat up time? Hard to b

First ever setup!

I assume you're in the US? Not OP, but I only had to upgrade my outlet and not the wiring or breaker, thankfully. Migjt be worth it to check your breaker box and wiring. Most modern kitchens in the US have 20 amp circuits but NEMA 5-15 outlets. For me, it was a simple swap to a NEMA 5-20 after a ver

Suggestions for a new setup - upgrading from the oracle [$1500]

https://www.coffeefriend.eu/p/coffee-machine-ascaso-steel-duo-pid-blackwood/ https://www.coffeefriend.eu/p/coffee-grinder-baratza-encore-esp/ Gotta pay extra premium to steam at the same time. I just upgraded to the Ascaso Duo Plus from a Bambino Plus and I'm still going through a learning phase wit

What is an upgrade from a Breville Dual Boiler? [No budget]

Hard to beat the bang for buck of the BDB, but have a look at the Ascaso Steel Duo or Duo Plus. Fast heat up time, dual heating element and solid build quality. Lelit Elizabeth is another solid option next to the Profitec Move, but like the Move its a dual boiler machine so heat time will be far lon

ASCASO Steel DUO PID vs FELLOW Espresso Series 1

I am extremely happy with my Ascaso Steel Duo PID - coming up to 3 years of ownership. My only real gripe is the steam wand is a bit short. Not an espresso machine but I did buy a Felllow Aiden which failed after about 4 months. I had absolutely no response from Fellow customer support, and my retai

Best espresso machine for one [under $1000]

I really would say away from the Smeg for the sole reason that they've had such bad QA over the years, have a high repair rate, high failure rate, and you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on something that doesn't last. For <$1,000 I've found myself consistently recommending my clients look a

Where to upgrade to from Barista Express [€1500]

Your user case is exactly like mine. Had a BBE. Mostly drink milk drinks, corts, and flat whites with my wife. Also 2-3 a day. Liked the fast start up of the BBE. Agonized over the Ascaso Steel Duo PID Plus and the Profitec Move. Went with the Ascaso. No regrets. But TBH, probably wouldn't regret th

Budget is not a problem, but I can’t find an option better than Bambino, why?

Look at the Ascaso Steel Duo PID. Upgraded a few months ago from a BDB and couldn’t be happier.

Ascaso Duo PID V1 vs Profitec Go difference of [$200]

I have the Ascaso Steel Duo PID v2 and I think it’s worth it. But I also specifically make alot of milk drinks in addition to straight espresso shots for myself. The temp stability is phenomenal in my opinion. I also came from a Bambino when I upgraded to the Ascaso and for the espresso, it makes mu

Espresso Machine Recommendations in UK to upgrade from a Bambino plus [£1500]

I was in a similar position and upgraded to the Ascaso Steel Duo PID. Managed to find it for £1150 on coffeefriend if you become a free member. It pretty much satisfies all the criteria you’ve listed, also heats up in only a few minutes and looks very nice. Been very satisfied with it!
