Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]

Ascaso Steel Duo all the way, it's a more capable machine and consumes significantly less energy. The v2 offers solid steaming power, not as powerfull as a dedicated boiler, but more than capable of steaming silky milky. Regarding QC, Lelit has it's issues, certainly after the acquisition by Brevill

First ever setup!

I assume you're in the US? Not OP, but I only had to upgrade my outlet and not the wiring or breaker, thankfully. Migjt be worth it to check your breaker box and wiring. Most modern kitchens in the US have 20 amp circuits but NEMA 5-15 outlets. For me, it was a simple swap to a NEMA 5-20 after a ver

Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]

I had the same decision and went with the ascaso steel duo pid. I love it and highly recommend. It's very consistent and heat up time is very quick. Make sure your wiring supports the higher amperage needed or your steam pressure may suffer.

[budget: 5k] time to upgrade: DF64ii to GBW, and Profitec Go to dual boiler

I would advise against a Synchronika. The energy consumption is huge and it's a complete overkill whenever you don't have a full house. It is often referenced here on Reddit but I don't really understand why. It is expensive, the tech is old and you heat 30 kg of metal for sometimes as little as 1-2

What dual thermoblock machines out there?

I've had my Ascaso Steel Duo PID v2 for nearly 3 years. Loads of plus points - the 2 biggest for me being the small footprint/height being ideal for my kitchen top with overhead cupboards and being able to take the water tank out from the side means I don't have to move the machine. Biggest annoyanc

I got it for the looks

Wish I had gotten the Ascaso Steel Duo Plus also and not just for looks. I also like all the features and accessories it comes with. I opted against it because there was some question as to whether the amps and even the plug would be compatible with the house. I also read about a loud knocking noise

Diletta Bello vs. Ascaso Steel Duo vs. others?

Absolutely loving my ascaso steel duo plus. Dual boilers are so over rated compared to dual thermoblocks for casual home use. I can slam back to back shots and steaming simultaneously, have great settings etc and a fraction of the bulk and energy usage.

Ascaso Steel Duo PID V2 adjustments for better espresso

This is a machine that’s been rated highly based on several comparisons. I have the Breville Oracle Jet and in retrospect wish I had gotten the Ascaso Steel Duo Plus. The Jet is OK but inconsistent and when you go to manual mode, it‘s hard to dial in. Also had to do a couple adjustments just to get
