What was your next upgrade after the breville bambino?

Ascaso Steel Duo PID. Best decision so far. The controllable PID, the adjustable OPV and the big jump in steam power are a game changer. Shots are much tastier and way more consistent too. It probably won't be my end game setup, but as of now, I don't have any machine that triggers my upgradetitis.

What dual thermoblock machines out there?

4 months into my Ascaso Steel Duo PID Plus ownership here. Here are my pros and cons: Pros Fast heat up. 5 mins with the portafilter in the group head and a quick flush = ready for business Can pull a shot and steam at the same time Fantastic back-to-back consistency Engaging u/x with the clicky swi

Suggestions for a new setup - upgrading from the oracle [$1500]

https://www.coffeefriend.eu/p/coffee-machine-ascaso-steel-duo-pid-blackwood/ https://www.coffeefriend.eu/p/coffee-grinder-baratza-encore-esp/ Gotta pay extra premium to steam at the same time. Profitec GO or Dual Boiler [around $1000]

Bambino Plus and a Baratza Encore ESP Pro would be a super solid starter setup. I have that grinder and a Barista Pro which has the same internals more or less of the Bambino Plus and I've been using it every day since 2020 and it's still going. Once it dies (or if I move to the EU which may happen

Help me find a wife-apprived upgrade machine [$2500]

Something like the Ascaso Steel Duo PID plus would allow you to save/store a shot time for both the single and double switch. You can dial it in then just save the time as you like, then your wife can just repeat it as she needs. Should leave you $500 or so left over for a good grinder which I assum

Doing more than one

We need more information to provide constructive feedback. What machine are you using? Are you thoroughly cleaning and drying the portafilter and basket? Is the basket clogged after the first shot? Are you pulling a second shot through the same puck as the first shot (sorry, have to ask)? A lot of b

I got it for the looks

Wish I had gotten the Ascaso Steel Duo Plus also and not just for looks. I also like all the features and accessories it comes with. I opted against it because there was some question as to whether the amps and even the plug would be compatible with the house. I also read about a loud knocking noise

Diletta Bello vs. Ascaso Steel Duo vs. others?

Absolutely loving my ascaso steel duo plus. Dual boilers are so over rated compared to dual thermoblocks for casual home use. I can slam back to back shots and steaming simultaneously, have great settings etc and a fraction of the bulk and energy usage.
