As a Series 7 Owner, this is not a good trend.
Problem with 6-7-8 is you get different update life cycle if you got a 6 and an 8, meaning 2 less years on the 8. So the same will be true for s10, one less year than s9 because of the same chip. Basically if you want to buy an Apple Watch, dont get a second/third-gen of a same chip at least.
