Apple discontinues Pro Display XDR

Much less angry about the SD XDR pricing now. Being 2X the cost of the Studio Display was unreasonable, but being ~66% of the cost of the Pro Display XDR with better brightness/color accuracy/connectivity/local dimming is a much more sensible interpretation. Yes, it got a little smaller, but ergonom

6k Pro Display XDR Vs 5k Studio Display

C1 performance on my PD-XDR is horrendous. Masks are extremely laggy and overall performance feels pretty rough. That's using a M3U which is no slouch! That’s not the case with the Studio Display connected to my m4 Pro MacBook Pro. I’m editing on a machine with less raw power and it’s still noticeab

CaptureOne Puget Benchmark

It’s shocking to me how bad c1 performance is with higher res screens. I have an m3u + Pro Display XDR and the lag with just creating a radial mask is a joke.

Has anyone tested the Studio Display (XDR) on Intel Macs / Windows PCs yet?

I went to the Apple Store in Madison, WI and plugged my work laptop into it but could only get 1080p on it. I have a Pro Display XDR at home but it does the full 6k on the same laptop and my Asus ProArt desktop that runs Linux. Right now it's a no buy until this changes. The work laptop and Asus bot

Huge Display in decent Quality

There isn’t any as far as I know. The Apple monitors don’t even meet that standard. The integrated displays on something like the MacBook Pro have even higher pixel density than their monitors. Secondly it’s important to highlight that a big aspect of what makes Apple displays look so good is their

AMA: Dell's new U5226KW 6K Ultrawide (Mac and Windows!)

Apparently it's to do with the horizontal number of pixels, though the Pro Display XDR exists so ... I think it's just MacOS being MacOS. I remember when 4K used to look bad on Macs, so give it a couple of years maybe this screen will be supported natively lol.

Are you running 4K at native resolution on macOS? Because for example on my MacBook Pro I have "More Space" as the setting but that translates "only" to a resolution of 2056 x 1329. I feel like that gives me loads of sharp, usable space. As a test I just put it to native resolution using BetterDispl

Looking for the BEST monitor for my eyes. I spend 10h a day in front of a computer.

Cool! My use case is coding (text clarity) so regular ASD should be enough but no 120hz… but ye could live with that. But ye I like 32’ 6k more, but it means kuycon or used Pro Display XDR (new one still costs the same..)

So there are no GLOSSY 5K@120 Hz option if I don't wanna spend 3K on the ASD XDR ?

Cool! Both are glossy or nano? I’m also searching for the monitor for coding, glossy seems sharper for text. Have you considered used Pro Display XDR or kuycon? Or regular Studio Displays? Or the incoming Msi? I honestly counted on the 32’ 6k XDR but they didn’t release it lol
