It totally depends on what you need the monitor for. If you're editing text or spreadsheets all day, you only need a monitor that is sharp and easy to read text on. If you're editing video professionally, you should have a monitor that makes it easy to switch in and out of the multiple video standar

For games/movies/anything in which you’re not staring at windows all day: Studio XDR. If I really wanted a 6K I wouldn’t buy it from Apple, though, due to the price

Yes it’s expensive but looking at Pro Display XDR prices and even original Studio Displays it’s going to hold its value better than any LG monitor or tv especially since it’s not oled.
