Former coworker had my Apple Pro XDR screen for a day and returned it scratched, yelled at me when I confronted him

Computer monitor (Pro Display XDR) with nano texture glass which reduces reflections, but is prone to scratches Coworker ruined a $5000 monitor. I'd be livid, I have an XDR and it takes literally 0 effort not to do this. Even without the stand, you can hold it and your fingers naturally rest in the

Apple Studio Display XDR White Paper

Curious what the reflectivity of the older displays were with this being 1.65%, I wasn’t too impressed with the old displays for reflectivity. Edit: Old Pro Display XDR was also 1.65% per its whitepaper(I know this year the LG G6 is supposed to have 0.3% reflectivity which seems probably low enough

The LG UltraFine 6K's matt coating

I got and returned the Dell 6K for the same problem. Just picked up the Asus 6K and it’s great IMHO, much more comparable to nanotexture (which I have and adore on both my iPad and MacBook Pro). However I do feel bad for anyone who prefers glossy, as it seems there are literally no options but the P

VESA Studio Display XDR has dropped $400 to $2899

I have the original Pro Display XDR stand and while it's not $1000 worth for quality, it's obviously in a different tier than any included stand across dozens of high end monitors over the years (except maybe the OG LG 34" ultrawide which came with the cool partially transparent stand) What they're

Studio Display XDR – Nano-Texture Doubts

I have the Studio Display and Pro Display XDR both in nano and the huge advantages in lack of eyestrain and focus they provide, even indoors, can't be beat, in my opinion, even though they don't move around in different environments, of course. The satin finish that makes it look like a printed page

PG32UCDM vs Studio Display XDR

Perhaps take a look at the 6k ASUS ProArt PA32QCV? I think it’s a more budget friendly 6k monitor compared to the old PRO display XDR. Similar price to the studio display but it’s 32 inch 6k! It’s matte tho. If you want the best glossy experience and have the budget, two ASD will be the best.

Apple's Studio Display 2 Reportedly on Track to Launch This Year With These New Features

Beyond yes. Any other reference, are mostly still tube based displays. That weigh a shit ton. Often with a rack mount design and 11”-13” display. And start around $10000 each. But the colors are perfect for that reference type. Pro Display XDR rolls five references, plus regular computer standard in

Is nano really worth it for outdoor work?

Advanced features always roll out on more expensive devices … nano-texture (very complex, see patent @end) STARTED on the external Pro Display XDR $4,999 entry model! Now very refined version on a touch screen device (amazing!) Look at the patent at end of this post to get an idea of how complex thi

Symptoms only triggered by screens and lighting

Wow! I didn’t expect to see a comment from someone who knew about PWM and temporal dithering. I use Stillcolor and actually tested the $5000 Apple Pro Display XDR and a $2000 Eizo monitor that are both true 10-bit displays and I didn’t get any of the tachycardia or eye focusing problems with them. S

Just picked up a Pro Display XDR on eBay. My setup is finally complete!

Even if it’s not uniform I think I’ll still be in love 😅 I’ll definitely test in when I get the chance. I think the nano texture has improved over time especially to be more hard wearing. IIRC the Pro Display XDR was the first nano texture device and it is very fragile compared to the iPad for examp
