Apple Studio Display 2 Code Hints at 120Hz ProMotion, HDR, A19 Chip

Cant imagine there would ever possibly be a market for a very high end pro display XDR that also doubles as the least powerful mac. If it was M4 Ultra then that could be a convincing product as a true imac pro, or I could see an argument for putting TVOS on it, but as an A19 mac it would be next to

It gets me every time LOL

The Pro Stand was only sold along with the Pro Display XDR. The stand sold with the Studio Display or Studio Display XDR is not the same and doesn't have the same features, in particular the ability to pivot the screen between horizontal and vertical orientation. I'm not trying to justify the price

VESA adapter for iMac

Pro Display XDR is not $3000 but $5000, and you can easily swap that hilariously expensive stand with Apple's VESA adapter (no disassembly required).

Apple Studio Display XDR - Windows review?

You’re welcome. I think the nano is very subjective and user dependent. Compared to the glossy it was washed out. Upon walking in first time my 12yo son said “that monitor on left all the whites look gray dad.”

List of 32" 6K monitors

Believe it or not I was actually quite disappointed with the Pro Display XDR - I bought one used and only had it for a few months before selling it again because on top of some minor uniformity issues, the monitor has surprisingly bad off-axis-vignetting & also off-axis color shifting in the whites.

Anyone use the Kuycon 32" 6K Display?

I have one right now that arrived two days ago, It almost perfect except for the screen reflections.I also ordered the apple studio display. Had them next to each other. Kuycon is like a mirror vs the studio display glass screen has great anti-reflection. It was distracting to me trying to code on t

Pro Display XDR — is this viewing angle normal?

Very common with modern IPS displays, thats one of the things the Apple displays aren't so good in, it must be the tradeoff for the high PPI they demand, the pixel aperture is too small so the viewing angles/perceptual uniformity takes a hit. They had this day one, some people called it dirty screen

Studio Display XDR Owners: Thoughts so far?

It’s funny. I didn’t like the nano texture on the Pro Display XDR as much, because it was more noticeable. But it’s quite good on this monitor and the MBP. That makes me less bothered that I didn’t buy the Pro Display XDR in the first place. I’d appreciate the 32-inch 6K, but I do like how integrate

Apple Studio XDR Display with or without nano texture?

I hate it on the Pro Display XDR, I have both now and I'm so glad I went glossy all those years ago for my first one. But my MBP with it is fine, so I think they did improve it

So there are no GLOSSY 5K@120 Hz option if I don't wanna spend 3K on the ASD XDR ?

Cool! Both are glossy or nano? I’m also searching for the monitor for coding, glossy seems sharper for text. Have you considered used Pro Display XDR or kuycon? Or regular Studio Displays? Or the incoming Msi? I honestly counted on the 32’ 6k XDR but they didn’t release it lol
