they pretty much do that but with Apple Watch. I walk up to my computer press any key and bam my iMac unlocks. Don't need a touchID keyboard

I don’t want one. It either means smaller keys for everything else or a wider MacBook. Both not desirable. I had Logitech MX Keys - for about an hour, that's it. What a crap. Plastic, bending, localized character snot burned with laser like Apple does but printed on. Piece of garbage. Now, I had a huge problem to found keyboard made out of aluminium, solid piece without flexing - except for the Apple one
