Tech bros are lying to you about the MacBook Neo
"i don't care what anyone says, but the MacBook Neo is not worth it, you should probably get a M2, M3 or M4 MacBook Air at a discount instead." Apple never said Neo is some kind of a power machine for coding or graphic design, it's basically a cheaper ipad that runs macos, good for school or some of

MacBook Neo Review - The Verge
I read some reviews and I envy those who get paid to basically say that "the Air is better than the Neo and the Pro is better than the Air." Okay, a $1000 laptop is better than a $500 laptop. Wow, Apple got me there.

Apple MacBook Neo review: Can a Mac get by with an iPhone’s processor inside?
I noticed that, too. I think three overlapping problems: Most reviewers never review $500 - $700 MSRP Windows laptops. So they have nothing to compare it to. Reviewers assume the Neo is targeted to current macOS users, which is probably not true. They are laser-focused on Neo vs Air cross-shoppers,

is the macbook neo worth it?
If you already own a monitor & keyboard, get a Mac Mini with a M4 chip. New it’s about the same price If you want a laptop, get a refirbed Air M4 from Apple for about $300 more. To me the Neo under the hood seems more like an iPad than a Mac YMMV.

How will the Windows world respond to the $599 Macbook Neo?
My god what a hyperbolic post. 8GB is perfectly usable on Windows if you're a casual user. There's not a battery drain problem with most Windows laptops. Someone buying a budget laptop rarely cares about build materials or quality. Same with brightness unless it's going to be used outdoors. A 256GB

Dell's laptop beats the MacBook Neo in several areas, costs $549
I fear this strategy has two problems: 1) ordinary folks don't know (and can't know) the usability of most budget laptops and 2) sales are temporary and tricky to get right. With the ongoing fervor surrounding Apple's launch of the MacBook Neo at $599, I'm having a lot of fun sniffing out Windows la

[Dave2D] MacBook Neo Review - It Might Be TOO Cheap.
~30% shorter battery vs M4 Air (presumably 13") under "light load" is not great (though expectedly shorter), but no methodology nor comparisons to other $500 - $700 MSRP laptops. It's tough to find many Wi-Fi battery life tests. The only one I've found is Tom's Hardware, but a mix of Wi-Fi brosing,

Apple's $599 MacBook Neo Sold Out Through April 2026 Amid Surging Demand
I'm checking every Best Buy within 50 miles and they all have the Neo in stock. The article specifies that it's orders from the online Apple site that are backordered. This is a minor logistics event turned into a hype article from a Mac stan site that references another Mac stan site.
