Tech bros are lying to you about the MacBook Neo
"i don't care what anyone says, but the MacBook Neo is not worth it, you should probably get a M2, M3 or M4 MacBook Air at a discount instead." Apple never said Neo is some kind of a power machine for coding or graphic design, it's basically a cheaper ipad that runs macos, good for school or some of

Windows users who hate the new MacBook Neo with 8GB RAM, can you run all your apps at the same time on your machine without it crashing and still use it?
Here's a 13 year old Windows laptop running all the default programs in the start menu of Windows 11. This is a supercomputer now according to you, yes? It might come as a surprise to you that Apple does not hold a patent on swapping ram to storage. 8GB on the Neo is still poor.

Ex-Windows chief calls MacBook Neo "a paradigm shifting computer" — reflects on Surface failure and Windows on Arm while lamenting "we were early, but not wrong"
The gap here is that Apple forcibly moved everybody over to ARM. Windows never even tried, because one of their major selling point has always been extensive backwards compatibility spanning decades. The Neo "works" because Macbook users were already forced to upgrade or die. The Surface RT didn't b

How will the Windows world respond to the $599 Macbook Neo?
My god what a hyperbolic post. 8GB is perfectly usable on Windows if you're a casual user. There's not a battery drain problem with most Windows laptops. Someone buying a budget laptop rarely cares about build materials or quality. Same with brightness unless it's going to be used outdoors. A 256GB

MacBook Neo sells out for April as demand for Apple's $599 laptop outpaces supply
Not sure how Apple could scale production while keeping cost down though. The Neo was basically built as a spare parts laptop using A18 Pro chips that didn't meet standards (5 cores vs 6 cores normally).

MacBook Neo Availability Continues to Tighten Ahead of Launch
I can see the Macbook Neo becoming the new target platform for game developers everywhere. I'll have whatever you're smoking. Even at the numbers Neo is going to sell, that won't entice devolpers to macos unless Apple is going to sling some huge money around and provide good dedicated devolpment and

Microsoft takes on MacBook Neo with new 'value advantage report,' claims Windows laptops offer double the RAM for less money and up to 56% longer battery life
There are absolutely Windows laptops that can compete with Apple's lineup, they are pretty expensive though. E.g. Dell's new XPS or Lenovo's X9 15p are easily in the top charts next to Apple's appropriate competition. That's because Intel's latest two generations have finally delivered but in terms

Apple MacBook Neo review: Can a Mac get by with an iPhone’s processor inside?
The MacBook Neo definitely has flaws. It’s missing a few things that have been standard on MacBook Airs and Pros for a very long time. Performance is decent, but in many tests, it’s the slowest Mac Apple has shipped since the Apple Silicon Mac era began, including the original M1. And a laptop, any

New MacBook Neo With A19 Pro Chip and 12GB RAM Expected Next Year
They will upgrade the chip every year on MacBook Neo, not to upgrade the device itself, as most people don't need more than 8GB RAM or even know what that means, but because they need to get rid of millions of chips. Apple is extremely financially calculated.
