Parallels on Macbook Pro M4 as Windows Laptop Alternative
I use Paralles on my MacBook Air M3 and I love it. Moving back and forth between OS and Windows is smooth and easy.

Microsoft Says 'We're Faster Than a Mac' in Latest Windows PC Ad
lol faster than M3 air they claim. But, with a fan, ad and spyware riddled OS, and 20% less battery life. Add a fan to the M3 in the form of the MacBook Pro and it's 31% faster than the X Elite and consumes 20% less power. The M4 smokes it even more. Qualcomm really dropped the ball.

[yabai] My first MacOS rice as an ex-Arch user
My old ASUS was too slow, so I got a MacBook Air M3 and decided to stick with macOS for optimal performance and battery life.

I am starting to think going with Chromebooks for my teaching staff was not the best move
Our staff have MacBook Air M3's and a Lenovo 300e. The MacBook is their main machine, and the 300e is a backup, so they can see what the kids see/experience, and to be left for a sub to use in the classroom with the sub's own credentials. On one hand, they are spoiled with the MacBooks. I, too, thou

Laptop suggestion uni student
Go for the MacBook Air M3/M4 with 16GB RAM; it’s the gold standard for CSE students due to its battery life, Unix-based coding environment, and high resale value.

Surface laptop 7 or Macbook Air M5
Wow. Didn’t know anyone actually used OneDrive! M5 will be fast. Touchpad will be nice. Battery will be great. Mac Windows and Linux desktop have become more similar. Microsoft products work on a Mac, except Visio and Project. File manager on Mac is generally better after some learning pain. If you

Is Tahoe 26.1 any better?
When you do update, if it's "running hot" check Activity Monitor - set it to Show All Processes, and update more often to see what is actually using excessive CPU (or potentially GPU as well - GPU History from the Window menu to see that usage) This can actually help track down what might be causing

How is your 2019 Macbook Pro (13" i5 8GB) holding up today?
i went from an i9 24gb pro to a M3 Air and it was like a new world, 10 fold on every benchmark and true all day battery. I work professionally in graphic design and the AIr is a perfect computer. If you like battery life and adobe creative suite to run amazingly and want to work portably, I would hi

Laptop for Law at University
I use a MacBook Air (M3, 16GB) for my work (in finance) and my doctoral research (social science) - have never had any issue with Microsoft 365 products. I have an iPad Air too - but I just don't use it, my MacBook delivers all I need.
