I have a 16-in MacBook pro, a neo, and a MacBook Air M4. I do feel it is a little easier to work off the 16-in screen, but I've had zero issues working off of the neo or air, as both are 13 inch.

I think the best option is an M4 MacBook Air if you can find it at a good price. Might have to go refurbished or used if new prices are too high for you, but as someone who used an XPS 15, the weight savings, reliability, and power efficiency of the MacBook Air are worth it.
