Hot take: iPad longevity comes down to apps and battery, not the chip. Plan accordingly
I find wifi connection matters a lot on my iPad mini 6. Bad wifi on 2.4 ghz will cause stuttering video and heat up the chip when using twitch, Netflix, youtube. When I switch to a good 5 GHz connection, those issues don't pop up even in the same room and the iPad drains less battery. That said, the

Weekly 'What should I buy?' Thread
iPad Air 11/13in M3 vs iPad Pro 11/13in M4? I understand this is excessive, but I am simply just curious on everyone experiences/opinions about it. I currently have an iPad mini 6(64GB). It is starting to show signs of lag, shorten battery life, and low available storage. I am looking for another iP

I have PS5 PRO and iPad Pro. Is Portal a better experience vs Remote Play and native controller.
Sorry, but it’s a you issue. Most probably your WiFi is not setup properly to optimize the Portal connection. Granted, it’s a bit technical, but it’s doable if you understand how. Not rocket science. I have a myriad of devices, including 2 dedicated iPads on telescopic controllers, ie the iPad Pro 1

Unable to update from iOS 16.6 to 18.7.8 on iPhone SE 3rd gen
I'm very happy with iOS 26 on my year-old iPhone Pro, but FYI my iPad mini 6th gen from 2021, which uses the same A15 Bionic processor as your 2022-era iPhone, can be a bit laggy at times with the current iPadOS version.

RAM issues with iPadOS 26, anyone else?
same with me on my iPad mini 6. I thought it was just because it has 4GB. Never had this issue on 18. Apple notes had far worse RAM management than Android

iPad mini 6
The mini is a cute little iPad, but it’s not really for you. You already have a similar performing iPad The Air 4’s performance is only like 10% less than that of the iPad Mini 6th gen. So, taking the mini while you already have the Air 4 is a no brainer to me. iPad mini isn’t a good choice for note

Arcade edition lagging
What iPad model do you have? I get a lot of stuttering upon initial loading on my old 2020 iPad Pro (A12Z/6GB), iPad mini 6 (A15/4GB) and Apple TV 4K (A15/4GB). It runs pretty smooth on the 2024 iPad Pro (M4/16GB) and iPad mini 7 (A17 Pro/8GB).
