The iPad Air 5th gen would be enough, especially if you’re just planning on taking notes on it. It also has support for the Apple Pencil 2 (not pro) which charges much more conveniently (than the usbc Apple Pencil) via magnet on the iPad.

I've been daily-driving the iPad Air 5th generation since I started in 2023. Apple Pencil 2, logitech combo touch keyboard. Never had any problems. I use it for note-taking, drawing, web browsing and sometimes writing as well, but I'll always finish writing a paper on my main computer just because f

I just switched to using an iPad back in January. Second-hand iPad Air 5th Gen (10.9") from eBay for $400. Going one generation older dropped the cost significantly. Comparison of models link. You don't want 3rd Gen or earlier because those lose bezel space to having a physical button at the bottom.

Get the iPad Air 5th generation. The M series chips are a major breakthrough in performance and energy efficiency that anything less isn't worth it. It also supports a better apple pencil which is a 2nd gen and magnetic charging with the air5.

I had to factory reset my iPad Air 5th gen two days ago to sell it, and this happened with my 2nd gen Apple Pencil. The iPad wouldn’t recognize the Pencil when I attached it, and it wouldn’t charge either. I tried forgetting the device from the Bluetooth list and attaching it again, but it just woul

My 11 inch iPad Air 5th Gen Cellular with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil is my daily driver for browsing the web and communication. I can do almost everything on it that I would do on a Mac, though I still prefer the Mac for photo and advanced video editing. With the release of iPadOS 26, it is nea

The iPad A16 is fine for drawing if you want to buy a new (and not used) iPad. I have been in a similar situation and I can tell you this: If you are comfortable with buying refurbished/used, you can get the iPad air 5th gen for the same price (or even cheaper sometimes), which has a much better pro

Background: Next fall I am going to be a freshman in college studying Computer Science. I am hoping to get an iPad for notetaking throughout college and want to decide what the best option is. I want something that will last at least through 4 years of college and that can handle notetaking, watchin

Hi, I'm an artist and student. I currently use Procreate and CollaNote on an iPad Air 5th gen. I've been thinking of trading it in (probably isn't worth too much now but money is money). I've been thinking about what I should switch it to since I don't know a lot about the newest iPads. I think it w

The iPad Air 5th generation (M1 chip) is still widely supported by all the major drawing apps and most 64GB models can be found on eBay for less than 300$/€ (Refurbished / Second Hand). Also, if you don´t mind losing the pressure sensitivity feature (pressing harder = thicker lines), you can skip on
