iPadOS 26 has ruined my iPad experience

Same, my iPad 9th gens became a stuttering mess scrolling any social media feed on iOS26 and there are so many glitches with the keyboard and Safari; apps reloading all the time multitasking - I won't get another Apple device I've had enough.

What the hell is going on at apple - iPadOS is a bloody mess.

It takes my iPad 9th gen to zero % battery overnight. Never had this problem until updating to OS 26. I did send a message to Apple. Starting the transition back to Android with a new Galaxy tablet.

8 GB is enough for most people.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max also only comes with 8 GB, and you can play music just fine. Apple can provide a decent macOS experience with 8GB of memory, but I would not bet on it. Maybe a few major macOS versions down the line they kill the Neo with a slow update, like they did to my iPad 9th Gen with iOS

I just recently traded in my 9th gen iPad for the iPad Pro I mentioned. The 9th gen wasn't running RC well and it's also not going to keep getting software updates from Apple after sometime in 2026 (not sure when, exactly). Since I use tablets to play RC and similar games all the time, I figured it

I give you: the apple experience

I bought 9th gen ipad an 1st gen pencil 2 and a half years ago and I havent bought any other apple product since. iPad works fine for school stuff for me but otherwise I hate the apple enviroment. However it got better over the years I must admit.

Should I update my iPad 9th gen to iPadOS 26?

I hate when Apple does that. I’d say wait until iOS 26.4 which will come out at the end of this month if you can hopefully it’ll have some performance improvements. On iOS 26 you can reduce transparency in settings to improve performance and 26.4 also adds reduce highlighting effects on top of other

The 9th gen ipad should get more updates than usual.

I think it could go either way. The 2020 iPhone SE and the 9th get iPad have the same A13 chip and 3GB RAM, and were released 1 year apart. Rumors are that the SE2 won't get iOS 27. However, iOS 27 is also rumored to be a "refresh" or "Snow Leopard" release, so the SE2 might get it. The 9th gen iPad
