This feature isn’t talked about enough!
I actually chose to specifically get an m4 air + a16 iPad to use this feature. It's called Sidecar. I could've bought the m4 mbp, but the air + ipad were a better choice for me in the end. Similar performance to the mbp, but with 2 screens (and the iPad can be used for note taking)

iPad A16 or IPad Air
The air has a more powerful chip compared to the a16, and a laminated screen that is less reflective. My use case is the same as yours, I went for the a16 which is perfect. The screen is reflective on a low brightness setting, but only in areas with lots of light. The Air is more powerful, but if yo

iPad A16 (Brand New) or iPad Air M4 (Used - Like New)
Air M4 100% Better in every way, aside from the price. Much faster, with more RAM, so will last far longer and can run the "AAA" games Apple is advertising if you want. Support for the better Apple Pencil Better (laminated) display Will likely support more features as the OS updates go on, whilst th

Is the air really really worth the extra money?
No, you can take notes perfectly well on an A16 iPad. I did for many years. Now I have the Air and realistically it's about the same. I never noticed the non-laminated screen unless I was specifically looking for the air gap. I did once. OK, it's there, no big deal. Same OS, same apps. Not worth the

M1 iPad Air or A16 iPad?
If it's the 256GB M1 Air, and you are fine buying a used iPad without warranty, then the Air is the better product It has a more powerful processor, it has more RAM, it has a laminated display, and it uses Pencil 2 (or some very good $30 clones) that charge magnetically on the side The iPad 11 (A16)

iPad for only studying and note taking
Even the basic A16 iPad can do that comfortably. The iPad Air has got a slightly nicer screen (laminated, no air gap) and the iPad Pro got the nicest screen, OLED variety with 120 Hz. But that would be like driving a Ferrari to the supermarket.

Which ipad to get under 400usd
My wife still has her 2018 Pro. It’s still great. The screen, speakers, and microphones still blow the latest standard iPad out of the water. The old processor still has more CPU and GPU cores and can handle multicore workloads well when compared to the A16 iPad. But for the same price, you might be

I want to buy the iPad A16 but…
As a owner of an iPad A16. the non-laminated display doesn’t bother me.

iPad A16 has insane battery backup
That really depends on your use case. If you are like me who only needs it for business related stuff and not creative work (video editing or content creation). This is great. iPad is snappy and performed well with multiple apps open. The only reason I would ever want m3 or higher would be the scree

iPad Pro M1 vs. iPad A16 vs. iPad Air
120hz is a tremendous difference. The user experience for you will be not very noticeable between the m2 air and the a16. I’d remove air from consideration if I was you. A16 is the best bang for your buck iPad ever made and will be more than enough for your use case imo. With the added benefit of wa
