IKEA matter devices
I feel like the issues are mostly from non Apple Users. The devices work rock solid for me with HomePod mini.

Is a Gen 1 HomePod worth it in 2026 over 2 stereo HomePod minis?
I have a gen one HomePod and it still works fantastic. In fact, it’s more responsive than my mini.

New house - looking for your best homekit devices
Honestly, these days it doesn’t matter, if your wifi is reliable. I have a setup that would horrify most on this sub. Probably 100 or so devices running off a HomePod mini and a pre-4K Apple TV. Granted I have other hubs for lights and home assistant for non-native devices. Everything runs just fine

Hardwired access points and high quality router Apple TV 4K 3rd Gen Ethernet connected HomePods 2nd Gen / HomePod mini’s as needed to ensure excellent Thread coverage Those are my three picks because they are the foundation for everything else.

What's Happening With the HomePod Mini 2? All the Current Rumors
Apple hasn't released the new HomePod mini because it's supposedly waiting on the new version of Siri. Good. I think it wouldn’t make sense otherwise.

Apple Home, Dirigera, and Matter: A Solution (?)
Hey. I had the same issue: until I stopped messing with the ikea hub and app. Just pair in HomeKit. Don’t worry about the ikea software or hub at all. It caused way more issues than it’s worth. A simple HomePod mini or two or an Apple TV 4K is all ya need.

Crazy issue with Homepod Mini Stereo Pair playing songs randomly AND at RANDOM VOLUMES (Loud Volume Spikes Suddenly/Out of Nowhere!!)
Interestingly enough, I had a HomePod mini that started doing that on iOS 18. I eventually unplugged it. I read that a comment that iOS 26.x fixed the issue, so I updated it to iOS 26.5 and it's been sitting there quietly ever since. So for me it actually fixed the problem.

Bit the bullet
Are you going to use Apple Home for your home control stuff? I have an older ATV 4K that doesnt support thread so I use a single HomePod mini as my hub (I'm waiting for new ATVs and Minis to come out) and everything works great! Even wifi bulbs and plugs.

Apple at 50: Where did the tech giant succeed and fail?
We use the HomePod Mini in our bedroom for AppleTV audio. It sits on our headboard, that way we don’t need to have the sound so loud. It works really well and even the PS5 will play the audio through it. Every now and then it’ll lose its mind, but that’s like once or twice a year.

IKEA matter HomeKit
I use the VARMBLIXT bought in France with a HomePod mini via matter. No issues whatsoever since 10 days.
