You bastards ruined me

The split ortho rabbit hole is where I’m at. I think it’s way more rewarding than regular boards. From Corsair K95, to Anne Pro, to ALT, to Mistel Barocco (hated split regular layout), to Planck (couldn’t get into at the time), to a Q2, to a Corne, to a 36 key. This was over like 8 years or somethin

A couple of you asked to see my wall of shame in my last post. Voila.

I loved my anne pro 2. Maybe one day I'll replace the bad switches. The WASD keys are worn out

Ranked Nova has the best out-of-the-box experience I have ever enjoyed from a 60% keyboard.

The Ranked Nova N60 is not QMK/VIA (though it does say this on the box), and the Brown switches it ships with are a bit dodgy and anemic, but this is the first 60% that I felt comfortable typing on out of the box. There are no weird locking shifts to enable the arrow or function keys, the keys just

Using a Sayo as my first experience with high-end keyboards and it is insane

Short answer: It’s good and it’ll help you get a feel on how hall effect keypads work, also a good expense with how cheap it is compared to some other keypads. Long answer: Depends on what keyboard you already have tbh. If you already have a good keyboard with rapid trigger (something like a Wooting

Tastiera meccanica 65%

A casa uso una 60%, la Anne Pro 2. Nessun problema né per lavoro né per svago. Ho particolare attitudine a imparare velocemente layout insoliti però. A lavoro invece una Drevo Excalibur (tenkeyless ma con tasti funzione). Ovviamente ulteriormente nessun problema. Faccio l'analista software.

Anyone else struggle using normal profile vs low profile boards?

I've found for myself it's usually not down to profile, but angle and key sculpting. I have one board with fairly tall, uniform keys, but I type on it just fine. It sits on a completely flat, 0° angle. I also have my first customized MK, an Anne Pro 2, which is using sculpted keycaps (MT3) and sitti

How's the 60% keyboard going for you?

I use a 60% Anne Pro 2 for 4 years now and it isnt even in the correct layout for my language. I dont mind having to use button combinations. The extra space on the desk is well worth it. Aaand you have to clean a lot less key caps when you do every so often

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - April 04, 2025

there are still boards that support split space but apparently this never became that popular they've been "replaced" by magnet switches (HE switches, see Wooting), which actually offer significant advantages for gaming (up to the point certain functions had to be banned) the pok3r keyboard and it's

My first kind of Vim-like 60% layout

My counter-proposal repo with layout files for mod-tap arrows for the CIDOO QK61, Weikav WK61 Pro, Royal Kludge RK61, Redragon K717, Skyloong GK61, and Keychron K12 Pro. Yes, I've been using vi since the late '70s but the mod-tap arrow hack is so cool. Props to the makers of the Anne Pro 2.

keyboard for note taking

preferably european made I don't think you will find that, apart from very expensive boutique boards they're all made in China, Taiwan, or Korea. The Ranked Nova is a remarkably nice board for a cheap proprietary model, with Anne Pro style tap-arrow keys overlaying the right modifiers. I have two (o
