The weird thing is I don't think the Kindle is a loss-leader for Amazon anymore. I really wanted a Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, but $700 is a tough pill to swallow when iPad Air costs far less. But I still can't buy into the iPad as a notebook replacement with the current tactile feel and glossy display

I switched from colorsoft to libra color bc of annotating and now kindle scribe colorsoft is going to be $630 .. I can’t deinfluence you, go for it!! I love kobo’s UI, love the statistics, love the size for portability, love that I can annotate directly on the pages of the book and it doesn’t create

i have not considered any pen holder because i thought the cover should have taken care of that...and the origami case is magnetic because my pen can be stuck on the case. it seems it is not easy to take it off from the cover, but i am a messy person, i am just scared that i will lose my pen. if you

The weird part for me is that I'll prefer a regular book over Kindle for most cases. But I'd love a Kindle Scribe/Colorsoft Scribe because I can easily get large print or take notes. But again...$700? Yeah....No.

Kindle scribe colorsoft is pretty great and they finally allowed to upload your own pdf's as of recently. I usually don't like kindles due it's closed ecosystem but for pdf reading and editing it's probably the best device on the market now. Just note that it's a specialized device for reading and w

Me too. There's options but way too expensive like the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft or remarkable Paper Pro or the Boox Air 3 C or Ultra C Pro. Hopefully in a few years the big one will be more accessible.

I purchased one when it first came out and returned it because I wanted the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft instead, but after using that, I missed the Note Air5 C. I purchased one about a week ago and it’s way better than the Kindle since it can do more and it’s $100 less.

The units I had were slow and lagging. That’s the main reason. The PPW has better screen than KCBW in my eyes. Its more crisp. Then color of KLC and KCC is very muted and sad looking. I also cant find books i like in Kobo Store but i found Alchemised there! But i noticed books there are cheaper. I t

I’ve been playing with new Note A1 for about 10 hours or so, and these are my thoughts to this point. Overall I’m disappointed. For the money I have to say I have fairly significant buyers remorse. I’d be happy at a $200 price point, but its price point really can’t be justified with its current fea
