I actually did and received mine yesterday, and the Scribe is going back to Amazon today. Background: I owned a RM2 for a few years, fell in love with the device and bought the RMPP on day 1. I've been less enamored with RMPP as there are a lot more little things that annoy me about it, but still us

I have a Kindle colorsoft, kobo clara color and, a kobo libra color. The kobo libra is my favorite for comics. It has dropbox and Google Drive integration and it supports cbz files natively. That means that I don't have to fool around with trying convert my comics or copy them from my computer if I'

I was hoping for a reply like this! I only found out a week ago, when I was beginning to research Kobo. I upgraded my Kindle recently to the Colorsoft, a fine device, but there are some things I'm still not happy with. I have been out of the loop for years. My KLC arrives tomorrow, and this tidbit a

I'm a button snob. I had a Kindle Voyage for 10 years that has the button like press areas. Would have loved an Oasis, but they were too rich for me. I sideload all my books, and Amazon likes to remove sideloaded books from devices. I often would be halfway through a book to find it was gone when I

i compared both side by side last month. the kindle colorsoft has better color saturation but the clara colour is cheaper and has that symmetrical shape you want. kindle's screen has a slight blue tint in some lighting conditions. the clara uses kaleido 3 which is fine for comics but colors look a b

I came from the Paperwhite and switched to the Libra Color. Why'd I switch: Didn't want to be tied into the Amazon ecosystem any longer Amazon made it hard to get digital books from the library Amazon is constantly bombarding you with sales crap Amazon recently added another layer of security so you

I'm in the exact same boat. I have a PW and just bought the KLC a few days ago. I love the device itself, but I'll be damned if I can find anything I want to read on Kobo. I've searched for several books on my TBR, and they just aren't there. I plan on keeping it and using it for notes, and reading

Not popular opinion for sure. We may very well be downvoted into oblivion but Rakuten isn’t the greatest company either. Better than Amazon for sure but not some angel company either. That said I like my KLC more than my PW. The colour is a really nice touch (but Amazon has colour too), the UI / OS

I’m going to disagree on your last point. I bought an official Kobo sleep cover for my KLC and it’s far sturdier than any of the ones I bought off Amazon, eBay etc.

For me this was not the case. Even removing the fill files and replacing the MPRI and Kual files it wouldn't appear. However, it did seem to install. Following the instructions on kindlemodding I was able to get an icon (which looks nice btw) using the PEKI method. Simply download the files from the
