Fire HD 8

I have a fairly new Fire HD 8 tablet that I picked up for a great price. I have PLEX set up and streaming to various tablets, PCs throughout my house. When I switched from the free version of PLEX to the paid version, the video on my Fire tablet became choppy. My Google-foo has failed to turn up

Got gifted a new Fire tablet and was hoping to have it running most of the day to free up my phone. Well, it runs this game fine for about 5 minutes then just lags down and staggers.

Is it because it's a cheap tablet?
