Getting photos and videos off of Kids' Fire

My granddaughter has a Fire HD 8 Kids' Edition, and she's taken a lot of photos and videos. I'd like to copy some of them off, because they're adorable. This doesn't seem possible, which I find crazy. I've seen a couple other posts on this, but no replies.

I understand that the filesystem is sep

OS's Suggestions for Fire Tablet

This is exclusive to the 8th Generation HD 8, it won’t work on any other model. Fire tablets are extremely locked down and require exploits to unlock the bootloader. The latest Amazon device to be unlocked with an exploit was the Fire TV Stick (3rd Generation). For the 12th Generation Amazon Fire HD

Amazon fire tablets won't play downloads offline

On a road trip, got two fire tablets. Downloaded one movie yesterday for my daughter and it played fine. After getting to the hotel I downloaded more to that tablet and a whole season of a show to another, both fire tablets from Amazon. Neither are playing back downloads now, getting a simple "somet

Choppy audio on Fire HD 8 tablet

No problem with the video stream or controls on the Fire HD 8, but the audio is very choppy. It's not the device itself because Spotify and Youtube work fine. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Can I use a wired Xbox One controller with XCloud?

I’ve been using my Bluetooth Xbox one controllers with XCloud for a while, but the Bluetooth seems to interfere with the streaming quality, making the games unplayable at times. Could I use an OTG cable to play with a wired controller instead, or is this feature not supported?

For reference, I’m r

Fire HD8 immer wieder offline

Geräte-Tausch

Kindle Fire w/ choppy video

I have a fairly new Fire HD 8 tablet that I picked up for a great price. I have PLEX set up and streaming to various tablets, PCs throughout my house. When I switched from the free version of PLEX to the paid version, the video on my Fire tablet became choppy. My Google-foo has failed to turn up

Kindle Fire HD 8 does not recognize USB connection to PC anymore

I bought the Fire HD 8 to serve as a budget tablet for entertainment purposes, connecting it to my PC via USB to transfer books and videos over to it to enjoy while away from my PC. Very recently, it appears to have stopped recognizing a USB connection at all (other than to charge slowly). This is n

Kindle Fire for reading?

This is probably my ADHD talking, but to me, reading on a tablet has never felt 'natural'. As I contemplate getting a Fire HD 8 or 10 to replace my old tablet, I wonder, is there a setting on the Fire that helps with this particular problem or am I better off getting a Paperwhite? Would be using it

Bought a Fire HD 8...

Clearly I didnt do my research beforehand, I mainly wanted a tablet for Crave App (can only use the app with my subscription) and read my books. Obviously Crave doesn't work, wondering if anyone knows any good 3rd party readers I can install. Was using ReadEra on my Samsung phone.
